# Privacy Policy

Published by Paw Multiverse (A.I.T. Multiverse Consulting Ltd) · Last updated 21 September 2026

This policy explains what personal data pawmultiverse.com (the "Site") handles, why, and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Cyprus data-protection law. The Site is run by [A.I.T. Multiverse Consulting Ltd](https://www.aitmultiverse.com), a company registered in Nicosia, Cyprus, which is the **data controller**.

**Privacy contact:** [admin@aitmultiverse.com](mailto:admin@aitmultiverse.com).

The short version: there are no user accounts, we do not sell data, the pet tools keep what you type on your own device, and advertising and analytics cookies in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland wait for your consent.

## 1. What we collect

- **Contact form.** Your name, email address and message, plus the country your connection comes from (a two-letter code, not your IP address). Used only to reply to you.
- **Recall alert sign-up.** Your email address and the date you signed up, so we can tell you when recall emails start. We do not send anything else.
- **Comments.** The name you choose (optional), the kind of pet you mention (optional), your comment, the page it is on, the date, and the country your connection comes from (a two-letter code). Comments are read by a person before anything is published and can be removed at any time; ask us from the contact page. We do not ask for your email address. To stop repeat posting we keep a one-way code made from your IP address, the date and a secret key. It changes every day, your IP address itself is not stored, and the code is deleted when a comment is approved.
- **"Was this helpful?" votes and page counts.** We count how often each page is read and how many readers found it helpful. No cookies are used and nothing is stored against you: a page read adds one to that page's daily total, and a vote uses the same daily one-way code as comments so each reader counts once a day. Your browser remembers locally that you voted, so the buttons show your choice.
- **What you type into our search, the recall finder and "check your bag".** The search words, brand names, barcodes or lot codes are sent to our server only to find matching pages and recalls. We do not store them against you. If a barcode is not in our record, it may be looked up by product number at Open Pet Food Facts to show you the product name.
- **Technical data.** Our host, Cloudflare, processes your IP address, browser type and the pages requested in order to deliver the Site and protect it from attacks. We do not use this to identify you.
- **Analytics and advertising data.** Where you consent, or where the law of your country does not require consent, Google Analytics measures how pages are used and Google AdSense serves and measures ads. See section 4 and the Cookie Policy.

## 2. What stays on your device

Several tools keep what you enter **in your own browser only** (local storage): the Vet Call Card, the pet care plan, the age calculator and the emergency triage helper. That information is never sent to us, we cannot see it, and clearing your browser storage deletes it.

The camera option on "check your bag" reads a barcode inside your browser. The image never leaves your device; only the number it reads is searched.

## 3. Why we use it (lawful bases)

- **Consent**: analytics and advertising cookies, and recall alert emails. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- **Legitimate interests**: answering messages you send, keeping the Site secure and working, and understanding which pages help people. We balance these against your rights.
- **Legal obligation**: where the law requires us to keep or disclose information.

## 4. Advertising, analytics and consent

The Site is free and funded by advertising (Google AdSense) and, where marked, affiliate links. See our [Advertising and Affiliate Disclosure](https://pawmultiverse.com/advertising-and-affiliate-disclosure/).

Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland see a consent message from Google, a Google-certified consent management platform. Until you choose, Google Consent Mode keeps advertising and analytics storage switched off; ads you see may then be non-personalised. You can change your choice at any time with the [Privacy and cookie settings](#) link at the bottom of every page.

Google's use of data is described at [How Google uses information from sites that use its services](https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites).

## 5. Who processes data for us

We do not sell or rent personal data. We use these providers under their data-processing terms:

- **Cloudflare, Inc.**: hosting, security, the database that stores contact messages and alert sign-ups, and Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying you.
- **Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC**: Google Analytics, Google AdSense and the consent message.
- **Open Pet Food Facts**: product-name lookup for unknown barcodes (the barcode number only).

Some tools use public data from other services: Open-Meteo for local temperature and dog.ceo for breed photos. Those requests go through this site on Cloudflare, so the other services do not see your IP address; only what the tool needs is passed on (your approximate location, rounded to about a kilometre, or the town you type). The barcode-scanner library is served from this site. The "Ask the record" tool sends your question to Cloudflare Workers AI to write the answer; questions are not stored.

The short English summaries on recall pages are written by Cloudflare Workers AI from the published recall notice. No personal data is used.

## 6. International transfers

Cloudflare and Google may process data outside the EEA, including in the United States. These transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, and on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

## 7. How long we keep it

- Contact messages: up to 24 months after our last reply, then deleted.
- Recall alert sign-ups: until you ask us to remove you.
- Published comments: until you ask us to remove them. Comments we do not publish are deleted. The daily reader codes used to stop repeat votes and posts: two days.
- Cloudflare security logs: kept by Cloudflare for a short period under its own policy.
- Analytics data: 14 months in Google Analytics.

## 8. Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its use, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. Email [admin@aitmultiverse.com](mailto:admin@aitmultiverse.com); we reply within one month. You can also complain to the [Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection](https://www.dataprotection.gov.cy) in Cyprus, or to the authority where you live.

## 9. Children

The Site is not aimed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

## 10. Security

The Site is served only over HTTPS. Stored messages and sign-ups are kept in a private database that only the company can access. No method is perfectly secure; if a breach affecting you ever happened, we would tell you and the authority as the law requires.

## 11. Changes to this policy

We update this policy when the Site changes; the date at the top shows the current version. The 17 September 2026 version reflects the move of the Site to Cloudflare, the end of user accounts, and Google's consent message replacing the previous cookie banner. The 21 September 2026 version adds reader comments, "was this helpful?" votes and page counts.
